Sekou is a bright and energetic nine-year-old boy with a big heart, big dreams and a bold vision for how he wants to change the world. He is a star student who loves to learn new things and excels in anything he puts his mind to. He learned to read when he was 18-months old, how to count when he was two and can hold a conversation on anything from politics to Pokémon. With his unparalleled charisma and witty humor, Sekou brightens any room he's in, leaving everyone smiling or doubled over in laughter. He is featured in his parents' TEDxDetroit talk, which now has over 1.7 million views, and is on the cover of his dad's New York Times bestselling memoir Writing My Wrongs.

Inspired by his parents who are both entrepreneurs, Sekou began talking about starting his own business when he was six years old. He is a natural leader, a gifted storyteller and has big ideas that he's excited to launch through his very first company. With his bold vision and determined spirit, he is well on his way to creating the change he wants to see in the world.

Sekou was born in Detroit but now lives in Los Angeles with his parents and his dog Indyego. In his spare time, he enjoys beat boxing, playing chess, building new Minecraft worlds, putting together thousand-piece puzzles with his mommy and doing basketball drills with his daddy.
